Today I learned that Keanu Reeves developed a "mag flip" technique for reloading a gun that is now being adopted by competition shooters and actual soldiers.
Basically he just kinda twists the gun hard enough that the magazine flies out on its own so he can put a new one in faster.
I just thought it was crazy that an actor developed a viable combat technique.
The director of John Wick confirmed that Keanu came up with this independently and a popular firearms YouTuber said he saw competition shooters and military friends practicing this. So I would say this is accurate with a medium level of confidence.
I feel like I’m late to this understanding but I suddenly realized that I love Orym so much is because he is the Peter Parker figure of the group, not just Spiderman in terms of his abilities but also Peter Parker – the little guy, the one with the family (some gone, some he’d give everything to keep alive), the Tragic Figure who grapples with holding onto kindness every single day when he’s been dealt so little of it, the guy who’s sweet and makes dumb jokes and is protective to the point of talking shit to the BBEG’s face and taking the hits so people can get away (literally Goading Attacks), the guy who likes pie/pizza, the guy who’s constantly in awe of his friends and finds joy in the little moments because he has to…..I’m in Pain
